Google and Specialized bicycles recently announced their joint "innovate or die" campaign. The Sponsors are asking innovative people who are interested finding solutions to pressing problem we have today, global warming and related troubles. But the duo sponsors requesting you to design and build pedal-powered machines that will help improve on our current current(no pun intended, see bellow for meaning) use or totally new invention. Google's involvement is to promote the project through YouTube. If you register, the final video of the pedal-powered project will have to be uploaded at the project site on YouTube channel. There are intros, sample projects and some projects at YT already.
Be sure to register, Registration must occur before the stroke of midnight (11:59:59pm) Pacific Time on December 15, 2007.
The winning submission will walk away with $5000 and a Specialized bike. But there are other prizes as well!;
Grand Prize: a Specialized Globe bike for each individual participant and one check for $5,000
